My house is situated near the Cape Cod Canal and a short walk to Monument Beach! We have beach parking passes for all the beaches in the town of Bourne. Some of the Cape's loveliest beaches are less than 20 minutes away.

Access to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket is readily available by using the ferry to the islands which departs from Woods Hole and provides a very enjoyable trip. I always encourage guests to visit the neighboring town of Sandwich to visit the glass museum, the quaint shops and wonderful beaches. A leisurely drive along Route 6-A is a must-do, both the local architecture and the lovely views along the road will make you appreciate Cape Cod in a different way. It is strongly recommended that you visit the National Seashore and Provincetown and Hyannis. Each place has something interesting to see especially if you enjoy art, the outdoors and museums. People have enjoyed the views available during a walk along the canal.

The house consists of a newly renovated kitchen, good sized family room with a large television, computer, phonograph, dvd, etc., and a pullout bed, There is also a fireplaced living room, a pleasant dining room, a first floor laundry and two bedrooms upstairs. On the second floor there is an area with a single bed/couch. There are full service bathrooms on each floor of the house.

The house is situated so that the backyard faces a stretch of conservation land. We often observe a variety of wildlife in the yard...turkey, possums, squirrels, a variety of birds and a vegetable eating woodchuck!! The yard is large and can be enjoyed from the deck at the back of the house. There is a grill, tables and chairs on the deck, a great place to wind down after a busy day. There is an outdoor shower just off the deck. There are flower and vegetable gardens as well as berry bushes and fruit trees. We have lawn games ready for your use.

The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, peaceful. My family is nearby and can offer assistance if need be.
