A Swedish rural idyll

Our home is a villa, located in a village, called Ålberga. It is a hundred year old brickhouse, with a big and lovely garden, with outdoor kitchen and a spatub.

The character of the house is in typical country style. The kitchen is new, charming and at the same time modern and convinient.

We have 3 bedbrooms plus a small room with two beds at the garret. Two bathrooms, laundry and medias like TV's, computers and wifi.

The house is charming and cosy, but most of all it has a great location with direct access to nature and yet close to citys and Airport. Infact, cloesest airport is 30 minutes drive away. There is also one livingroom with tv and LP downstairs, one dining room with seat for 6-10 persons and a tv-room.

Our villa was built along with the railway, hundred years ago. Trains still goes by, but doesn´t disturb. It is a small line so they doesn´t go so fast and are not so many per day.

The garden is large with games and sporting equipment, great fun for both children and adults. Threse is also flower beds and a porch for bright summer nights and a bbq. We like to grow vegetables and depending on time we have strawberrys, tomatoes, cucumber, herbs, potatoes for example.

One of our favourite spot in an old barn we rebuild to a kind of taverna. An outdoor place with roof, outdoor kitchen, quality outdoor furniture and a bar. We also have a nice spa tub for five persons.

Beautiful surroundings with great walking trails in the forrest where you can enjoy mushroom and berry picking in the right season of the year. With our bikes you reach the bath lake with jettys in 5 minutes. In the winter here is ski trails almost right outside the house. Not far from our home you can access to real long and well marked kings trails that shows most of the landscape in Sweden.

If you like, we would love to tell you more and show you more pictures.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Skavsta airport - 32 km

We live in a small and cozy village in a convenient living with beatiful forest, exercise tracks, country roads and lake with jettys. The forest offers limitless blueberrys in summer season and lots of funnel chanterelles in the autumn.

Ålberga is located in the middle of two regions with close to two citys. In 30 minutes by car south we have Norrköping and 25 min north Nyköping. Two nicy citys with lots to see and do. Stockholm is in a good distance and be reached within 1 1/2 h by car.

A selection of to see and do for inspiration:
Kolmårdens wildlife park
Nestled in the beautiful countryside south of Stockholm, is Kolmården Wildlife Park. Covering 1.5 square kilometers and home to countless animal species, thrilling rides and magical shows. Kolmården is among the most popular tourist attractions in the Nordic countries.

The industrial landscape
A real wow factor. The old industrial area from the industrial time, rebuild with museums, restaurants, university, activities and walking trails arounds the Stream. You have to experience it to understand its greatness.

Archipelgo
We live pretty close to the coast and can reach the archipelago by car within 30- 60 min. We have three favourites we like to visit, Femöre, Stendörren and Arkösund.
Femöre is reached in 30 min and offers bathing from rocks, walking trails in nature reserve, amazing waffles and interesting visit to top secret Cold War coastal artillery fortress.

Arkösund is about an hour from home. Here you can kayak, snorkel, swim or enjoy a boat trip with the Archipelago Line. In addition, you have several smaller restaurants and shops in the area to stroll through

Local food and beer
In Nyköping we have two really good beer breweries, where you also can eat really nice food in a nice environment. Where we lives there are a lot of hunters. Therefore there is a good local restaurant on the countryside with really good food and a small shop where you can shop vension for home cooking.
