We are à recently retired French-Swedish couple.
Our house in Normandy is in the countryside not far from the gardens of Claude Monet in Giverny, the medieval castle of Richard Lionheart in les Andelys, between Paris and Rouen.
The house has an open architecture surrounded by a garden next to fields and the nearby hillside in the Seine valley.
The main house has a living-room / entrance area with a kitchen and WC on the ground floor.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, bathroom / WC and a dressing room, distributed from a central hallway.

There are several bicycles available for adults / teenagers. There is a cycle path recently opened so you can bike to the nearest towns / villages along the Seine valley; Vernon, Giverny, Gaillon, Les Andelys, etc. It is part of the bicycle path which will stretch from Paris to Le Havre on the Normandy coast in the near future.
Many walking tracks are available from just outside the house, both among the surrounding fields and in the forests.

In our village we have a bakery, a butcher and a restaurant within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Fresh French bread every morning !
Nearest supermarkets are roughly 10-15 minutes with car.
If you are keen on golf, there is a nice 9-hole golf course within 10 minutes by car.

It is convenient to take the train to either Paris or Rouen from our nearest train station which is less than10 minutes drive from us. To park the car next to the railway station is free of charge.
Travelling time is 1h to Paris and 30 minutes to Rouen.
