Flat in Costa del Sol MALAGA (MALAGA), SPAIN.
We live in Malaga (southern Spain) in Andalusia. We are a retired couple who do not smoke and do not have pets. We love to travel and get to know other cultures and special places. Our apartment (we live in Malaga) is 8 minutes from the beach by car, bus or if you wish, you can go on foot as it is only 2 km and 20 minutes from the historic center of Malaga by bus (15 minutes by car)
How to go to the historic center of Malaga? We live 2 minute walk from Victoria Kent train station and one stop takes you to the City Center and two stops to the airport. You can also go by bus line 1 (2 minutes from the house to the stop. Frequency: 5-8 minutes and in 20 minutes you have reached the historic center). To take the metro you have to walk 10 minutes, but it is very, very fast. Taxi stop: it is a 2-minute walk away.
Friendliness, leisure and quality of life are the main characteristics that make foreigners choose Malaga as the best city to live in the world, according to surveys carried out by Forbes magazine.
Malaga has a great cultural offer (Thysen Museum, Picasso's Museum and Birthplace, Automobile and Fashion Museum, Pompidou Museum, Museum of Popular Arts and Customs, City Museum, Contemporary Museum, Museum of Glass and Crystal. ...shows, theaters, musicals, flamenco,...), historical heritage (Roman theater, Alcazaba - Arab fortified citadel - Gibralfaro castle, cathedral, Atarazanas market...) and nature with its imposing Historical Botanical Garden "La Concepción". As for restaurants, there are bars with tapas and restaurants throughout the historic center of the city at very good prices, although the Soho neighborhood (walking from the historic center) is a reference to take into account. Dock 1 with its imposing docked yachts, shops and restaurants next to the Pompidou museum wait for you in the port. Chiringuitos (restaurants between the beach and the promenade) with fresh fish and sardine skewers. Leisure and shops: numerous commercial establishments around Calle Larios compete to offer the best products. And all these places of interest can be reached on foot. It is very comfortable to walk through its pedestrian streets because the climate in both summer and winter is very mild. Then take the bus LINE 1 and return home in 20 minutes. The frequency of the buses varies between 5-8 minutes.
Good highway connections (without toll) with monumental cities: Granada (1:30 hours) and Córdoba (1:45 hours) (Arab past) and Seville (2 hours). Gibraltar (1:35 hours. DO NOT forget your passport).
If you would like to know more please do not hesitate to get in touch! Looking forward to hearing from you! Thank you for choosing us.
